Pokémon Go Night: Love and War

Join Zollinger Library for Pokémon Go Night beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Let us fuel your love for Pokémon battles. Do you have what it takes to be the top Pokémon trainer on campus? Join our Love and War Tournament and show your skills. Prizes will be given to the top three trainers. Spots are limited. There will also be food, a chance to make friends and more. After the battle, join us for a walk around campus and raid hour at 6 p.m.

Zollinger Library Legacy Gallery Grand Opening

In celebration of Black History Month, join Zollinger Library and the ��ɫӰ��allup Diversity, Equity & Inclusion department for the grand opening of our new Legacy Gallery at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. This dedicated space within the library features the “African American Pioneers of New Mexico” collection of photos from 1776-1976. These photos depict explorers, colonists, slaves, cowboys, buffalo soldiers and more. Originally collected by Dr. Barbara Richardson, this photo collection shows the rich history of the Land of Enchantment through a lens not seen before. Help us celebrate this great legacy with inspirational speakers and refreshments.

Documentary: "Through a Lens Darkly"

In honor of Black History Month, join Zollinger Library for a documentary film, "Through a Lens Darkly" (2014), discussing the presentation of black culture in photography throughout American history at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19. See how these images have impacted artists and society today. The film will be shown in the library conference room.

Author Talk: Essie L. Ealy

Join Zollinger Library for an author talk with local author Essie L. Ealy at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26. Join Ealy as she reads excerpts from her newest publication, "Flamanco! The Dancing Spider," a heartwarming story about a young spider and his dreams of dance. She will also talk about her other books and much more. Ealy has written both children’s and young adult books such as "The Golden Ukulele," "Lester’s Big Cover Up," and "Worth More Than Rubies, and Kahli." Everyone is welcome to attend this presentation, part of our Z-Talk events.

February Film Series

If you love romance and rom-coms, these films aren’t for you. Join Zollinger Library for B-Movie madness throughout February at 4 p.m. every Thursday. These films are as bad as they are good. Filled with campy dialogue, terrible plots, and crazy, over-the-top visuals, these B-Movies will definitely entertain. So, grab your sweetheart and enjoy a movie on us. Popcorn and soda will be provided first come, first served.
